In remembrance of America's Rosa Ponselle, the Pikesville library will present a two hour program on the life and career of this legendary diva. Music historians and renowned critics alike thought her to be the greatest vocal artist of all time. The program will present documentary film footage, slides from Ms. Ponselle's "Villa Pace" estate, and portions of recorded interviews with Robert Lawrence and Susan Gould.  Upon Ms. Ponselle's retirement at age 39, she married the son of Baltimore's Mayor, Howard Jackson, built a villa in Maryland's Greenspring Valley, where she resided until her death at age 84.
